Storage and Use of Your Data

When you visit SRB.at and its subpages, our web servers automatically and by default store the following items (server log files):

  • Visited website
  • Time of access
  • Amount of data sent in bytes
  • Source/reference from which you accessed the page
  • Browser used
  • Operating system used
  • IP address used

This information is necessary for the technical transmission of the websites, secure server operation, and for security reasons, such as clarifying cases of misuse (processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).

The server log files are stored and deleted after 6 months. No merging of this data with other data sources takes place, nor is there any personalised evaluation of the data. If data must be retained for evidential reasons, they are exempt from deletion until the incident is resolved.

Handling of Personal Data

Personal data is information about you. This includes your name, address, and email address. No personal data needs to be disclosed to visit SRB.at. However, it may occur that we require your name and address, as well as further information, in some cases to provide you with the desired service. In these cases, you will always be informed. Only the data you have automatically or voluntarily provided will be stored.

For example, if you contact us via email or through the contact form, the data you provide will be used solely for processing the request and stored with us for six months in case of follow-up questions. We do not share this data with third parties without your consent and treat it with strict confidentiality.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are retrieved by a web server and stored on your device when you visit our websites. They remain stored until you delete them.

SRB.at uses the so-called session cookie necessary for use on our pages. No personal data is stored in it, only a random ID. This cookie is temporary and is deleted when you close your browser.

Newsletter

On SRB.at, you can subscribe to a newsletter and give us your consent to send it. By submitting the form or clicking the 'Sign Up' button, you consent to the processing of the data you have entered for receiving newsletters (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can unsubscribe from the distribution list at any time by notifying us via email at office@srb.at, specifically through the 'Unsubscribe Link' provided in each of our newsletters.

For sending newsletters, SRB.at uses the services of mailworx. The provider is EWORX NETWORK & INTERNET GMBH, Hafenstraße 2a, 4020 Linz, Austria. mailworx is a service that can organise and analyse the sending of newsletters, among other things. If you enter data for the purpose of receiving newsletters (e.g., email address), this will be stored on the servers of mailworx in Austria. We have entered into a contract with mailworx obliging them to protect our customers' data and not to pass it on to third parties.

With mailworx, we can also analyse our newsletters. When you open an email sent by mailworx, a file contained in the email, a so-called web beacon, connects to the servers of mailworx in Austria. This allows us to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links may have been clicked. Technical information is also collected, such as the time of retrieval, IP address, browser type, and operating system. This information cannot be attributed to the respective newsletter recipient. It is used solely for the statistical analysis of the newsletters. The results of these analyses can be used to better tailor future newsletters to the interests of recipients. If you do not want analysis by mailworx, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter as described above. From the moment you unsubscribe, you will no longer receive any further newsletters after we process your message. Furthermore, the data you provided for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be deleted from both our servers and the servers of mailworx after unsubscribing.
